Fantastic food, much better than you would expect from a small hotel in the middle of winter. Excellent value, priced well below the quality. Cheese soufflé starter was superb and the prawn cocktail was a huge portion. Main courses didn't disappoint and the desserts looked great but we didn't have room! Nice range of draft beers and wine was nice. We ate in the bar which is cosy, not sure if they use the dining room in season.

Really fantastic old country hotel, full of character. Great vibe about the place. Very friendly proprietors. Great food. Breakfast excellent, especially the bacon. Best bacon I've had in a long while. Excellent selection of whiskies and good ales. Lovely setting. Would have given 5 stars but the only drawbacks are to do with the age of the place and it's constraints eg no lift. Wouldn't swap that for a modern souless place though. When next in the area, will definitely return.

Very kind hosts! And the service was outstanding! Food was very good! The rooms where a little outdated and noisy, but clean (important). Perfect stop when you go from north to south. We stayed there for one night with dinner and breakfast.

Ate there tonight with my family. So friendly. Food was great and quick service. Proper home made Mac cheese was a winner with my son. Sat outside and enjoyed such a lovely meal with my family. Lovely salad with the food and good portions. Nice homemade sauces as week. Reasonable price too. Would def go back again. Very accommodating with my young family and kids really loved it.

Great rooms! Comfy luxurious duvets. Friendly family-like staff. Very warm-hearted. The bar has a good atmosphere, reminiscent of a meeting place of renaissance meetings. Very happy with the experience.

A hidden gem 25 minutes from Oban. We loved our stay. Simon and Yvonne were lovely and very welcoming. Good value for money our room was spacious and had everything we needed with a lovely view of the sheep paddock and flowing river out of our window. We were lucky enough to check in the same night some local people played Scottish folk music in the pub it was a Great night and everyone very friendly. If you want an authentic Scottish hospitality experience then come here.

We did not stay here, it was an impromptu stop for breakfast. We were driving to Lochgilphead and this little inn caught our eye. This little gem has a centuries old drivers inn, and the hotel was added on to the inn in the 1800s. On impulse upon seeing the coffee sign, we needed to stop for sustenance. In spite of not being guests, the innkeeper couple served us hot scones, Irish butter, blackcurrant jam, and Scottish tea. This is true Scottish hospitality.
